We do not reserve solid gold only for the part of the jewelry you can see. The visible and functional metal components are crafted in solid 14K gold.
Yellow Gold
The color comes from the gold itself.
Varenel currently offers jewelry in solid 14K yellow gold. Its warm gold tone comes from the gold alloy itself rather than from a gold-plated surface layer.
Flat Back by Design
Less behind your ear. More thought in the construction.
Varenel earrings use a flat-back construction designed for a cleaner, lower-profile fit than a traditional butterfly backing.
Rather than placing a larger closure behind the ear, the flat back creates a smooth surface at the rear of the post.
Internally Threaded
The threading stays inside the post.
The threaded section of the decorative end connects inside the hollow opening of the post rather than leaving exposed threading along the exterior section that passes through the piercing.
Proper alignment matters. Cross-threading, overtightening, or excessive force can damage a threaded connection.

Varenel jewelry is hand polished to create a smooth, reflective finish that brings out the natural appearance of solid gold.
Polishing does not make jewelry immune to every scratch or surface mark. With regular wear, polished gold naturally develops signs of use.
Fine scratches, surface marks, and subtle cosmetic changes are normal characteristics of real gold jewelry and are not, by themselves, manufacturing defects.
